(1) The formation of the Council shall be as follows
(a) Minister of Agriculture or Minister of State – Chairman
(b) Member, National Planning Commission (Looking at Agriculture Sector) – Member (c) Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development – ​​Member (d) Secretary, Ministry of Finance – Member
(e) Secretary, Ministry of Forests and Environment - Member (f) Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology - Member (g) Secretary, Nepal Institute of Science and Technology – Member
(h) Dean, Institute of Agricultural and Animal Science Studies – Member
(j) One member nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the experienced agricultural scientists working in the Council (j) Two persons nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the scientists working in the related organizations contributing to the field of agricultural research - members
(k) Two persons nominated by the Government of Nepal from among eminent commercial farmers or scientists retired from the service of the Council – members
(l) One member nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the entrepreneurs involved in the agricultural sector (d) One person nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the people involved in non-governmental organizations in the field of agricultural research - member
(d) Executive Director - Member - Secretary
(2) The term of office of members nominated in accordance with sub-section (1) shall be two years and they may be re-nominated.
(3) If the Government of Nepal deems it necessary, it may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette and make necessary additions, reductions or changes in the members of the Council.
